In 1986, after spending 6
years in the trade, Art Smith went into business as Smith Builders. In 1989 Art
Smith incorporated as Art Smith Builders Inc. Art Smith is the Head Master Carpenter and is personally involved in all phases of construction. Art Smith Builders Inc. has maintained the same trusted core of employees and subcontractors since its onset. Our employees are professionals and conduct themselves as such. We’ve been located in Princeton for the last 18 years and our primary business operations are in high end remodeling and custom homes. Our company has been recognized locally and nationally for excellence in the remodeling field. We are a full service, turn key operation, with all of the major carpentry done “in house.” We differ from our competition in that we are “hands on” in both management and product development. We are unique in the industry for a few reasons. First and foremost, we actually build the products ourselves. We also have an ongoing long term relationship with our vendors and subcontractors which we believe yields immeasurable results. Finally, we have a long term employee base which supports the consistency of our final products and the stability of our company. Our product is among the best in the industry. Our steady controlled growth, in a market where the competition is ruthless, is further evidence that our policies and strategies are sound. We have worked hard to earn our place in the high end market and have succeeded in gaining the confidence and respect of our clients and the community.
